Most small logistics companies run their fleets on spreadsheets and group chats. Compliance deadlines get missed. Maintenance is tracked by memory. No one knows which vehicles are actually available until someone calls the driver.

This system replaces all of that: a single platform tracking compliance, maintenance, and real-time availability across a mixed fleet, with no proprietary hardware and no infrastructure cost to run.

The whole fleet, at a glance.

Availability, upcoming services, and expiring certificates all appear on one screen, sorted by urgency. The most critical issue is the first thing a manager sees when they log in.

Compliance deadlines for 9 vehicle types and 13 certification types are tracked automatically. Nothing lives in a separate spreadsheet and nothing falls through the cracks.

What it does

  • Self-maintaining status

    Availability and service status updates from real-time driver entries. Nothing is tracked by hand.

  • Recurring service tracking

    Log the service once. The system keeps every future service interval organized and on track.

  • Real-time data sync

    Driver submissions are recorded instantly in the central system, with no intermediate handling..

Development & Deployment

The system is fully functional and currently in production testing with a real client. That client had been unable to find affordable software that met its compliance tracking needs and had been relying on spreadsheets until I offered my system, which matched its needs. Feedback from this real-world use has already led to the introduction of the Work Logs module and is continuing to shape further improvements ahead of the original client's full rollout.

It is designed for flexible deployment, supporting either cloud hosting or on-premise installation depending on client infrastructure and cost requirements. It includes a React frontend, Node and Express API, and MongoDB Atlas database. The compliance module tracks nine vehicle document types and thirteen employee certification types, each with configurable renewal intervals and four-tier severity warnings up to thirty days in advance.

All of this was designed end-to-end around the original client's full compliance and maintenance needs, and it uses every feature the platform offers. But the underlying problem isn't unique to one fleet size and affordable software built specifically for compliance tracking is hard to find. That gap is why I'm now adding configuration options so smaller operations can use only the features they need, laying the groundwork for offering FMIS as a SaaS product to businesses with similar compliance requirements

Core Functionality

Three core screens carry the daily workload. Fleet Overview shows every vehicle's current status: available, deployed, or in service, with per-category counts updated in real time. Service Planning brings scheduled and completed maintenance into one view, flagging what is due before it becomes urgent. Compliance Watch keeps every certificate and regulatory document in sight, surfacing each one well before it can lapse.

Beyond those three, an Employee tab holds driver and staff records, including certification and license status down to the individual. Groups and Projects tracks which vehicles and people are committed to which site, preventing double-booking and keeping resource allocation visible across the fleet. The newest addition, Work Logs, allows employees to log their own hours and propose new projects, both of which enter an approval queue rather than going live immediately. This shifts routine data entry to employees while leaving administrators responsible for review and approval, and is driving the expansion of the accompanying mobile app so work can be recorded directly from the field.


Document Automation Pipeline

Each month, a logistics operation generated dozens of raw load summaries, covering vehicle, material, source site, and total volume, but compliance required an itemized receipt per load. The pipeline now turns that summary data into fully formatted, individually numbered receipts in a single run.

What used to take 10+ hours of manual entry each month now takes one execution. Output has been accepted without revision by the relevant financial authority.

3D Animation & Motion Graphics

I take a concept and find the right combination of 2D and 3D to bring it to life. In Blender, that means rigging and animating characters, modeling simple environments, and directing camera work, usually with existing assets and textures rather than modeling from scratch. For 2D, I design and composite in Photoshop, and edit and finish video mainly in DaVinci Resolve, with After Effects when a project calls for it. The goal is always the same as everywhere else in this portfolio: make something land clearly for whoever's watching it.

Technical Documentation & Localization

Two German technical manuals totalling 230+ pages, covering aerial work platforms, localized into Slovak language for regulatory compliance. Full translation, professional retypesetting, and Photoshop reconstruction of technical diagrams, safety pictograms, equipment placards, certification documents, and technical data sheets across the complete documentation package.

Both platforms passed official certification inspection on first submission. The documentation package was delivered on a fixed regulatory deadline, coordinated directly with the production team handling physical placard manufacturing.
